Our story · Sai Ying Pun steakhouse since 2015
Your friendly neighbourhood steakhouse.
We opened The Den in 2015 with a simple idea: serve the kind of steak you'd cross town for, at a table where you actually feel at home.
We set up on Oaklands Path in Sai Ying Pun and built the steakhouse we'd actually want to eat in — generous cuts of Australian wagyu and New Zealand beef, fresh seafood, indulgent starters, and sides worth ordering twice.
A decade on, we're still family-run, still making everything in-house, and still open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Come for the steak — stay for everything else.

What we're about
The cut comes first
Australian wagyu and New Zealand beef, cut to weight and grilled properly. Steaks are the heart of the room — everything else is here to keep them company.
Made in-house
Sauces, sides, dressings, desserts — all made from scratch in our kitchen. Dietary requirements sorted; just let us know.
A neighbourhood table
Family-run and glad to see you. The kind of place where the regulars have a usual and newcomers leave as regulars.
Generous, never fussy
Everything a great steakhouse should be — generous, high-quality, unpretentious — and a place the whole neighbourhood keeps coming back to.
