Your details & how we use them
Last updated 1 October 2026
The Den is a family-run restaurant in Sai Ying Pun. This page explains what personal details this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with them, in line with Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
What we collect
When you send a private dining enquiry, we ask for your name, phone number, the date, the number of guests, the menu you’re interested in and any notes, such as dietary needs. When you book a table or order pickup, the booking or ordering page asks only for what it needs to take that booking or order, such as your name and mobile number.
We don’t ask for anything else, and we don’t collect card details on this website.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry, arrange and confirm your booking or order, and prepare food safely around any dietary needs you tell us about. We don’t sell your details or share them with anyone for their own marketing.
Who sees it
Our team, and the services that carry your message to us: WhatsApp, where your enquiry opens as a message to us, and Telegram, where our staff get a copy so nothing is missed. Table bookings are handled by our booking system and Oddle, our reservations provider; pickup orders go through our ordering page at pickup.thedenhk.com. Our website host processes the requests that keep this site running.
Cookies and analytics
This site doesn’t set cookies of its own. On thedenhk.com we use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to count visits, see which pages and buttons people use (such as Book a Table or Order Pickup) and measure our adverts. These services may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site works the same without them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking details only for as long as we need them for your enquiry or booking, our records and any follow-up with you.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted. Message us on WhatsApp or call +852 5496 9406 and we’ll sort it.
